Badger Crossing is a book I illustrated and devised the plot for.

It is about an adult badger and her cub finding a busy road cutting through the woods in which they live. They try to cross the road, but then they meet a man on a morbid mission. Here are some illustrations from the book.

Salt Ahead

Salt Ahead, 2022, mixed media collage (paper, paint, fabric, tinfoil)

This is a road for slugs and snails to slither on. Someone has dropped salt on it, so the local council has blocked the salted area with traffic cones and built a diversion for traffic to follow around the area.

This is a comic I wrote and illustrated about two boys who figure out a technique to help themselves overcome anger they feel towards people. You can try to use this technique, too. It might help.

The Burn Cure, 2022, Colour Pencil.

This comic is about an unusual Irish superstition. It is said that licking the underbelly of a mankeeper lizard, a.k.a a smooth newt, will give you the ability to heal people who have been burned by licking the part of their body which has been burned. The girl who told me about this superstition says that her cousin is able to do this.

The Loaf of Belmullet, 2023, mixed media collage (paper, foil, paint)

This depicts a stone shed with a cat sitting in the window, in a position sometimes called a loaf. It is based on a photograph I took in county Mayo, near Belmullet.
